Hopkins Construction, Inc is a leading heavy construction and construction management firm. Founded in 1988, we provide premier technical management, and directly related services to develop, manage, engineer, build, and operate installations for out customers on the east coast.

Currently our 50 members are teamed with customers, partners, and suppliers on 28 projects in 4 states. During fiscal 2001 we booked $3.2 million in heavy mechanical and $4.6 million in utility and site development projects.

The success of our turnkey service is the result of a consistent team effort. “Teamwork” is an over-used word in business. However, in heavy construction there are millions of components that must be addressed.

Hopkins is privately owned and operated by its founder R. Keller Hopkins.

 

Hopkins History

Hopkins Construction was founded in 1988 by Keller Hopkins, a native of Sussex County, Delaware and a veteran Hopkins Construction, Inc.in heavy construction operations. At that time the Hopkins equipment fleet consisted of four dump trucks and three employees.

Keller Hopkins is a hands-on individual who spent most of his time in the field during the early years. Doing everything from operating equipment to estimating, he built the company, literally from the ground-up. In January of 1999, Keller recognized the need to become involved in marketing, trade associations and civil leadership and came in from the field.

Today Hopkins Construction, Inc. has 50 full time employees, owns $3.5 million in equipment and in 2001 generated over $10 million in sales.

In the beginning the market focus was primarily water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping station. With this exponential growth Hopkins has expanded its services to Hopkins Construction, Inc.include all types of site and utility installations including water, sanitary sewer, gas, D.I.P., H.D.P.E. and PVC. Additionally, Hopkins performs dewatering, earth moving, and site grading which lends a finishing touch to its portfolio of services.

Headquartered in Bridgeville, Delaware, Hopkins reach serves, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
